“Realize the sun doesn’t go down…”

11 08 2008

So college has ended, and with it, some of the Bygones have parted ways. I (Danny) have moved to the Philly area, and am still dying to get these musical ideas out. So I’m playing the Open Mic circuit, enjoying the lovely coffee shops of the Greater Philadelphia Area (Gryphon, Milkboy, Steel City, etc.). And of course, I’m still writing and recording. The new songs I’m writing are surprising even me, so I’m not sure what form the album is going to take anymore. All I can say is that I’m thrilled to be able to work on music at all, and I love being able to share my little songs with you guys. So if you come out to a show, I might be able to leak a few songs to you or get you a CD of the newest demos.

So in honor of the most recent iteration of the Bygones, I’ve put together two YouTube videos. The first is a photo reel of our best gigs put together with a sample recording of some of the new music we were making. The song is called “Margot” and the video was made in apple’s finest “iMovie.”
:)

The second clip is from the last concert that Vince, Ben, Mike, and I played together. This specific clip from the concert also has our pal Rachel playing too. The song is called “Terra Calls Me Back” and will be on the same album as “Margot.” Both of the studio recordings to these songs are finished, and are just waiting on the rest of the album to see the light of day. However, the DVD of this concert is available currently. Enjoy:

Cya around soon. Promise ;)

Busy Recording!

10 02 2008

Hello hello. Just thought it would be good to take the time to mention whats going on in our world. We’re trying to relax and take some time since our busy list of shows we just came off of. So this is giving us the chance to start writing some new songs, and from the way there looking, it should be pretty cool. We’re also busy in the recording studio trying to get some kind of CD out by the end of the year. For now we’ve been selling homemade CDs at our shows so we can share some of our unique and personal recordings. We’re already very happy with them.

But we do have one really cool gig coming up that we couldn’t pass up. We were invited to play one of the Free At Noon Concerts at the HUB at Penn State University. Thats on March 28th at Noon and should be a total blast. And its FREE!

Missing you already,
~Danny & The Bygones

“…So I packed up and split for the city”

16 08 2007

Hey there. So we’ve got the new website up in preparation for our new recordings. We’ve been working really hard to bring some new songs to the world. Hopefully by mid fall we should have some kind of release available, be it an EP or a full-length album.

Trust me, its worth the wait.
